About

I’m a father of three and a design project manager from Viljandi, a small town in southern Estonia. By day I run building design projects; the rest of the time I play tennis and keep moving as much as I can.

I go to the mountains out of awe. Every climb takes something away: your breath, your comfort, the feeling that everything is under control. Up there you understand how small you are and how little you really need.

I haven’t done many big treks yet. Every year La Gomera, a mountainous island in the Canaries, satisfies my hunger for mountains. I often travel with a group, but on the trail I like to walk alone. That’s when the place reaches me.

At home I love Viljandi and long, slow mornings. I wake up with the sun, in summer even earlier.
